The simple things in life

The other day Miss Courtney decided that she wanted to go out and play in the marvelous snow. So I bundled her up in her coat. She swung on the swing for a little bit and started heading back in the house.......
I told her to stay outside because Miss Madison wanted to go out and play with her.....
Miss Madison thought that she didn't need a coat on because she had 2 shirts on. I love how she put on Marshall's sneakers because she couldn't find hers quick enough...........
Mr Marshall decided to stay inside and play in his Darth Vader costume. He tried to scoop the guts out of his pumpkin to perfection. The pumpkin was previously dug out for him. It wasn't done to his liking. He did pretty darn good at scraping that little pumpkin the rest of the way....................
Shortly after the girls were comfortably playing outside, Miss Courtney decided to come back in because her hands were cold.............
Gloves next time.............
Miss Madison built a snowman and wanted to show me her artwork. It was so delicate and cute. It made me smile...........
Miss Courtney decided that she wanted to go back outside to see this snowman that Miss Madison had made........

Soon after we made our way back into the house, Miss Courtney decided to read a book to Bennie. They both took their places in front of the warm fireplace and her story telling began. We all joined in and listened as she told us the thrilling story of Dr. Seuss' The Big Honey Hunt. She thought it was pretty neat. And it was............
I cherish simply days like these. Life gets busy, and time moves so quickly. Take time to breathe and enjoy the simply things in life. The simple things do matter. They are probably the most important things in life.
